VOLEM SABER!
Chinese government officials have denied holding talks with FC Barcelona amid deepening mystery about the Spanish football team's plans for a €95m shirt sponsorship deal with Beijing.

FC Barcelona last night insisted that negotiations were taking place but that it was now forbidden from revealing further details because of a confidentiality agreement with the Chinese.

The Beijing Organising Committee for the 2008 games, Bocog, has repeatedly denied having any plans to sponsor Barcelona. Bocog said yesterday it had “never had any form of contact” with the Spanish football club. “This matter of shirt advertising with this club does not exist,” said the committee, which is responsible for organising and promoting the games.

Officials of China's General Administration of Sport and the Chinese Olympic Committee also said their organisations had not had any discussions with Barcelona on sponsorship.
